Profile Information

What do you do?
I help creative business owners get and stay organized! We don't stop there though- it must be beautiful to be an official "Inspired Office."
What is your website?
http://www.theinspiredoffice.com
What makes you and your business unique? Brag!
Hmmm. I don't know anyone else who does exactly what I do. I focus on one group of people and one very specific service.
What type of connections and referrals are you looking for? Be specific if you can. It makes it easier on everyone here who wants to help.
New business owners in Silver Spring (need more people close to home).
Is there a book or two you that you think every entrepreneur should read?
Losing My Virginity by Richard Branson. Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill, especially chapter 14.
Favorite quote(s):
"I have the immense joy of being human . . . The sorrows and stupidities of the human condition can no longer overwhelm me, now that I realize what we all are. If only everybody could realize this! But it cannot be expliained. There is no way of telling people that they are all walking around shining like the sun." -Thomas Merton
If everyone in this "room" were to advise you on one aspect of your business, what would it be?
Getting press. Anyone have any connections to the Washington Post? Sunday Source or Home sections would be GREAT.
What is your wildest dream for your business that you think is too off-the-wall to share with most people?
To own a house in Bali that I can offer to my clients at no cost as a nice little perk.
What is one of the best business decisions you've ever made?
Starting young and doing the Client Attraction System
Anything else you want to promote?
My hand-planted terrariums that are too beautiful to handle: www.kpaide.etsy.com
Interests:
spinning, playing with my neice, Shaolin kung fu, organizing other peoples filing systems, sleeping, making terrariums, dusting, vacuuming, propagating plants, garlic, butter, chocolate, Bali, Bali, Bali, solid teak furniture, Thai Dusit's panang curry chicken, swimming pools, reggae, Design Within Reach, design magazines, chimichurri, mojitos, Richard Branson, John Hardy (literally obsessed with his house in Bali), bagels in the morning while reading the Style section, matcha tea, Abraham-Hicks, white beers, batik & shibori, morning meditation, entrepreneurs, Estonia, Indian buffets, crunchy spicy tuna rolls, classical feng shui, Tuareg jewelry, my iPhone, minimalism, herbal healing, acupuncture, Southeast Asian luxury hotels
Favorite local spots for meeting up with friends or biz contacts?
Busboys and Poets, Love Cafe, Teaism, El Golfo, Woodlands in Langley Park (phenomenal doesn't even begin to describe it. Who knew Indian flavors so exquisite could come out of such a run-down strip mall), a secret spot in Rock Creek Park (Tazima's spot really)
And of course, can you share an office organizing or productivity tip, or must have product?
Sleep as much as possible and never feel guily about it.

Yo Kacy, thanks for putting this together. We'll miss you at Seedbed this weekend, heading to Brooklyn for some meetings. We still want to have a mega-terrarium in our office too, let us know when you want to tackle that!

Hi Kacy, Yes I will send you a lookbook and you can see the line at www.alexandrabee.com.

Can't wait to meet you, as I am also dying to go to Bali, love to eat bagels with the Style section and could easily be seen sipping a mojito on my (dream) wide teak cushy lounge Ahh...now if the kids would just put down the squirt guns and turn down the cartoons....

Need your terrarium information.

I love Tazima! I met her when I was doing yoga and then I hired her as a holistic health counselor. We're friends, too! Small world!

Already this site is paying off - great work and thanks for the referral! (Wait...I see "Tazima" mentioned up above. Is it the same Tazima who does holistic health consultations and yoga?)
